UID’s Managing Director re-elected as board member of VDMA division
Franz Koller will serve a second term in the board of the "Software and Digitalization" division of the VDMA, the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association. On October 9, the VDMA’s 400 members elected UID's Managing Director Franz Koller into the 11-person board. In this role, he will primarily advance the digitalization and agility in machine and plant manufacturing.
"Software and Digitalization" is the VDMA’s largest division. It connects software providers with the development departments of renowned machine and plant manufacturers, serving as an ideal platform for sharing experience on digitalization trends, e.g. machine learning or digital strategies, with the industry.
As a VDMA member, UID has been contributing to the "Software and Digitalization" division for years. In his previous term, Franz Koller supported the "Agile" and "Chief Digital Officer" working groups and acted as a juror at the VDMA Young Talent Award. "I am overjoyed about my reelection. The current crisis shows how important it is to connect traditional industries with the digital world. In my role as a board member, I want to support machine and plant manufacturers on their way into the digital and agile future – a crucial process for companies in shaping innovation and securing their market position," says Franz Koller, UID’s Managing Director.
