Cultural Differences and Similarities in the Use of Gestures on Touchscreen User Interfaces

Users around the globe use the same gestures to operate multi-touch surfaces. This is among the findings of a research project carried out by the International Usability Partners IUP. The global network interviewed 340 people in nine countries, among them Germany. The article outlines the study's results, recommending gestures to be used for multi-touch interfaces.
