No worrying about incomprehensible technologies for one day? Yes, it is possible - at the World Usability Day 2006. User Interface Design GmbH showed in Stuttgart this year again that usability does not have to be something unfamiliar.
Franz Koller, Managing Director of User Interface Design GmbH, with responsibility for Consumer Solutions, and Prof. Dr. Michael Burmester, Professor for Ergonomics and Usability on the Information Design faculty of the Media School in Stuttgart, have agreed to put their user interface design expertise at the disposal of the iF product design award 2007 competition.
From 8 until 10 November 2006, the Annual Conference of the German technical association for technical communication will take place at Wiesbaden, Germany. User Interface Design GmbH (UID) will present itself at the joint booth of the company Dokuwerk. A highlight will be the joint lecture of UID and FIDUCIA on the usability test of the online help of the learning software agree® Bankarbeitsplatz.
Business before pleasure: the UID staff came together for a workshop to boost the team spirit. The crowning finish was the celebration of the new business premises of UID in Munich.
User Interface Design GmbH is the triple winner of the iF communication design award 2006. With bizoom and aonDigital TV, the usability company participated with great success in one of the most important international design competitions.
Franz Koller and Michael Burmester prepared several interesting articles for the I-Com special edition of "Consumer Electronics", which describe usability engineering processes as an essential contribution for the success of products. The reasons are as numerous as the usability problems are in the consumer sector.
The Hannover Fair 2006 has again been very successful for User Interface Design GmbH. In addition to interesting products, which are easy to use and attractively designed, UID presented another highlight: the International Usability Partners, in short, IUP.
So far, it has been a doctor or fitness trainer who explained the water or fat content of your body to you. However, as of fall 2006, your cell phone is going to do this for you - in a simple and uncomplicated way. Unbelievable? But not impossible.

Since progressive globalization does not stop at User Interface Design GmbH, UID now places greater emphasis on collaborations with companies abroad. Its latest commitment: a close collaboration with the Chinese usability company ISAR uid.
