Modelling
Requirements Management
The management of requirements is not only essential during the stages of planning and analysis, but throughout the project. The traceability of design rationale plays a particularly important role during the design and realisation stages. It is on the basis of traceability that planning for further releases is made. It is also a form of documentation for design decisions. Requirements management implies highlighting these, but also organising and documenting them appropriately. Very often organisation and documentation is recorded in manual lists which are managed by Office programs. There are however very efficient tools available and we would gladly assist you in choosing and introducing an efficient tool to your company.
UML and Use Cases
The utilisation of effective use cases in terms of Alistair Cockburn and Larry Constantine has proved to be very effective in expectations modelling. They have in practice shown that different formats, model depths call for different margin constraints. We assist you in defining the most suitable use case templates for your project. We go by the motto; "my use case is not your use case". We train your analysts to use the use cases. We do of course, create UML diagrams for user interface modelling. As with use cases, we know that not all UML diagram types are equally suitable for all projects and that it is up to the project team to choose an appropriate selection.
