Head of the "Interactive Products" team at Fraunhofer Institute IAO (1995-1997) Scientific assistant and project director at the University of Stuttgart (1987-1992); ISO board member for the design of multimedia systems.

Manager Enterprise Solutions at UID since 2003. Head of Software Engineering since 2000. Previously head of Marketing & Strategies team for "Interactive products" at the Fraunhofer Institute (IAO) (1998-2000). Before that as software developer for the IBM Deutschland GmbH at their scientific centre. Also many years as project manager and scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer IAO. Visiting lecturer for Software ergonomics at the FH Heilbronn (technical university) as well as editor of the book "User Interface Tuning".

With User Interface Design GmbH since 2000. In charge of Industry Solutions since 2001 and manager of the UID offices in Munich. User Interface Design Centre, Siemens AG, Munich (1998-2000). Prior to that as usability consultant at the Gesellschaft fuer Software Management, Stuttgart. From 2004 to 2006 Andreas Beu was President of the German Chapter of the Usability Professionals' Association UPA (GC-UPA).

Prof. Dr. Michael Burmester, Graduate Psychologist
Counsellor for Research and Innovation at UID. Head of the main research field of "Usability Engineering" at the Institute for Applied Research at the Stuttgart Media University since July 2005. Since September 2002 Professor of Ergonomics and Usability at the University of Applied Media Sciences in Stuttgart. Former managing director of UID branch office in Munich and in charge of the Usability Engineering department. Project coordinator at Siemens (1997-2000). Scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer IAO, responsible for national and international research and development projects.

Jakob Biesterfeldt, Graduate Industrial Engineer
since 2004 with User Interface Design GmbH and since 2008 Manager of the User Research sector; project manager for User Interface Design GmbH in Munich; deputy key account Manager Web Solutions and contact person for the International Usability Partners; until 2004, he was employed at the Competence Center Human-Computer Interaction of the Fraunhofer IAO; Jakob Biesterfeldt is a member of the UPA and tekom association.

Dr. Ronald Hartwig, Graduate Computer Scientist
Since 2007, Ronald Hartwig has been working for UID as Manager Consulting & Training; since 2008 manager of the UID offices in Dortmund; as a graduate computer scientist with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology, he already worked as a consultant and expert in the field of usability and software ergonomics for renowned customers; his last position was head of Interactive Dialog Systems in the C-LAB of Siemens Business Services.

Alexander Steffen, Psycholinguist M.A.
Since 2005 Manager Medical Solutions and since 2008 Manager of the Mannheim Office; he worked as a project manager for various companies and institutes such as the Institute for Medical Psychology and one of the leading German market research institutes "Gesellschaft für Innovative Marktforschung". He concentrates on user-centered design of medical devices, risk analysis and standard-compliant documentation of the development of medical devices. Before he started his career with UID, he worked as a project manager at the Institute of Phonetics and Speech Processing of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University at Munich.

Bernd Wiesenauer, Graduate Designer
Being the Creative Director since October 2006, he has been responsible for the Design division of User Interface Design GmbH. Before, he worked as a product designer for Prof. Wulf Schneider & Partner as well as for CAA AG. Bernd Wiesenauer was awarded the if product design award gold 2005 and the if product design award 2006. His previous customers included renowned companies such as BMW Motorrad, Daimlerchrysler, Ford, Harman Becker, Helit, Interlübke, Saab, Sedus, Skantherm and Thonet.
